Project Overview

As digital banking systems have caused people to shift away from using physical transactions, it became evident that people tend to spend more than they realize.
Budgetty expands & shrinks based on a personal budget like wallets. By allowing users to visualize their budget, Budgetty helps users to manage their finance in a more intuitive and efficient way.

My Contributions

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth.

Budgetty is designed as a hybrid physical-digital wallet that focuses solely on essential budgeting functions. By simplifying spending, saving, and card selection into intuitive tactile interactions, the device helps users stay aware of their financial habits without distractions. Its minimal system encourages mindful money management and makes everyday banking more accessible and efficient.

User Journey

How can you feel?

#1 The users feel budgetty in their pocket. The thickness of Budgetty serves as a reminder to check their daily balance.

#2 The user is now aware of their current assets and starts contemplating whether to spend or not.

#3 The user makes a decision whether to spend or not and engages in cautious and wise spending according to the scale of their assets.

Interface Design

Tactility

Budgetty provides intuitive analog inputs through rotation and pressing, allowing users to easily navigate through all settings while minimizing the risk of touchscreen malfunctions in their pockets. This user-friendly interface is designed for clarity and ease of use.

Budgety is designed with user-friendliness and readability as its core, utilizing E-ink technology to minimize energy consumption. Additionally, it features an intuitive UI design that remains effective even without the use of color.

Everyday Reliability

Budgetty is a device that needs to be carried at all times. To ensure convenience and reliability, Budgetty aims for wireless charging without a seperate charging port, thereby preventing malfunctions and breakdowns in any situation.
