cHair Frame
Metal Fabrication / 2022 / 2 weeks
Project Overview
cHair Frame reimagines the letter “H” as a structural element. Inspired by street markings, the project transforms a simple graphic form into a physical frame that supports the body through balance and tension. The result is a minimal chair reduced to its essential geometry — a study of structure, proportion, and restraint.
My Contributions
I explored how everyday symbols can evolve into functional structures. Starting from an “H” shape found on the street, I developed sketches, material studies, and full-scale fabrication using aluminum tubing and tension-based support. My focus was to reveal the visual and structural beauty of a minimal frame without relying on conventional comfort or ornamentation.
